At Gonville Academy, we offer a secure and creative learning environment through our 52-place Nursery.
If your child is 3 years old and your application to your Nursery is successful, they are eligible for 15 hours of free learning per week. These learning sessions are divided into morning sessions (8:45-11:45am) and afternoon sessions (12:15-3:15pm), with each child being assigned to either the morning or afternoon Nursery. Some children are eligble for 30 free hours a week; you can check if you are eligble for 30 free hours here https://www.gov.uk/free-childcare-if-working/check-youre-eligible.
Our Nursery is committed to implementing the best practices in early childhood education, fostering positive attitudes towards school and its routines.
Children have access to a wide range of activities, both indoors and outdoors, including a mix of teacher-guided and child-initiated activities.
With the Nursery, our primary focus is on the three Prime Areas of development: Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Physical Development; and Communication and Language. These Prime Areas are fundamental for your child’s overall well-being and future educational progress.
