Our curriculum provides a range of opportunities to support children’s physical and mental health. Physical Education lessons enable children to become more physically active through developing fundamental movement skills for sustained periods of time and develop their physical literacy: having the motivation, confidence, physical competence and knowledge and understanding to value and take responsibility for engagement in physical activities for life.
Our lessons help build character through engagement in competitive sports and support children to discover their own skills, abilities and preferences in order that they can make choices about how to get involved in lifelong physical activity. We know that regular physical activity and exercise is linked to improved cognitive functioning therefore providing children with a strong Physical Education curriculum is essential for the successful emotional and academic success of each child.
